Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach Sunrise 2015 Activities

Here are some examples of the things we do in our community.

Community Clean Up

BB_0051Each year in April our Community Service Committee organizes a Town Clean up to collect garbage along the major arteries throughout our town and along the beachfront. The town provides the bags, gloves, safety vests and coffee for the morning start and Rotarians and residents take care of the rest. This is a great community pride project.

Fire and Ice

SNS_0204Our members set up a tent and serve a delicious pulled pork sandwich to assist the Fire and Ice Committee with their event.

Father’s Day Show and Shine

The Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach sets up and serves hundreds of burgers, smokies, hot dogs and smoothies to the attendees of this annual event. The majority of members assist and it is a great community event.

Beach Day

Beach Day is an annual Qualicum Beach event. Thousands of people roam the beach to have fun and learn more about our wonderful beach and sea life. Sunrise Rotary sets up a tent and helps the children build sand castles and create enormous bubbles.

CFK_0066aCoats for Kids

The Rotary Club of Parksville AM and the Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach Sunrise work together on this project. Coats are collected and distributed throughout the Oceanside area.

Gratitude Week and Roses Saleroses

Our 2015 Roses from Rotary sale was a sell out, our best event yet.

Storybook Village

This is a new project taken on by our club. Our plan is to assist with the maintenance of the Storybook Village area so that area children will have a fun and safe area to have fun.P1010842
