Mike Haas and George Venner have been working on a clever use of the Rotarian magazine we receive each month. It isn’t a new idea for members to take their monthly issue to their next dentist appoinment or visit to their insurance agent and ask to leave it in the reception area for those waiting there to read.
But to make a good idea even better, a label has been put together (check here for an updated version of this label) that can be affixed to the magazine over the address label. The new label looks like this.
It invites readers to check out our club web site for more information. Those using a smart phone can scan the QR Code which takes them right to our site where they can find out about who we are and what we do. The labels attached work on Avery 45005 label stock (2 columns of 5, 4.25″ X 2″, 10 to a sheet).
Next George is doing some text for the front page of our website that will tell people about some of our recent projects. With a nice photo or two added, it will be what people see when they open the web site. One suggestion: I think the label should also say something along the lines of “Feel free to take this magazine home with you.”
When you have read your current issue please bring it to the next club meeting along with some other recent editions if you have them around.
