This is a dare. No, in fact it is a double dog dare.
One of the first things I posted to the new web site was What is a Blog?. [0]. What you are reading now is part of my blog. My blog is a place where I get to say what I want, whatever that is, for all the world to see. Don't like it? Tell us all why by tagging a comment on what I have written. Something you want to say? Every member of our club has a blog here too. Let it all hang out. Keep it positive of course, but this is your chance to tell us what you, our members, would like our club to do. think about or move forward on. We might ignore you or you might provoke a debate. You might even come up with an idea that the club grabs and turns into the next big project.
The dare is this. Tell all of us what you think. Thats it. Simple as that. Whatever it is, tell us.
Tell us what you think about our club, about the economic effects of globalization on the price of oysters, about what kind of coffee we should serve on Tuesday mornings. Or about anything else. Just talk to us. That is what we are looking for. If it is something on your mind that you would like to start a public discussion about, this is the place for it.
Scroll down and on the left, under your name, one of the things you will see is an item "Blogs". If you click on that (and you might need to scroll down again) you will see a link called My Blog. When you get there, you should see a link that says Post a New Blog Entry. When you click on that link, you will come to a screen that lets you add a Title (be succinct, this will be what people click on to get to your words) and a box titled Body. That box is where you can tell us what you have on your mind. Press the Preview button to see how it will look, make any edits it needs and then hit submit and it will be part of our website.
Remember, the public can read these blogs too. If what you are talking about is something that should be private, Forums [0] are the place for it.
So the dare is, talk to us. Tell us what you think. Talk to us. We are listening. Are you talking?
