- Calendars:
We could have a single calendar that lists upcoming speakers and club events as well or two different calendars. Should it be shown on one of the sidebars or just have a link to it on the navigation menu? On the old site, we had a separate calendar for upcoming programs on the home page that was there for all to see so that anyone who came by could see the interesting speakers we have coming up. It also made it convenient for our members to find. Keeping our event calendar for other things we have coming up private, things like board meetings, etc, was that way we did it. We could carry on that way or we could go public with all events and show them all in one place. These calendars (or a single calendar) could be just a link to a document that can be edited or it could be something fancier that looks like a monthly wall calendar. - Document Storage:
This could be our file system. I expect we will use forums the way we now use google groups email to circulate agendas and reports. File attachments can be included there and then links to those attachments could be included here so that, for example, we could have a page for each executive meeting that would have links to the agenda, the minutes and all reports filed. The place for documents is in our Forums.
