Rotary Club of Qualicum Beach Sunrise

Sorry to report a very poor attendance for today’s meeting, where oh where were Gord, Ian, Derek, Doug, Alan, Dean, Mike, David Mac and Ken Neden, but, I know Ken was out of town on business.

We were pleased to receive Lisa Beeke, a friend of Greer’s, as our only guest..

Our honorable secretary, Ken Walker, was our speaker this morning. Ken arrived at the unthinkable time of 6.20am, a time when some were still tucked up in bed!! He arrived early so that he could set up his slide presentation of his trip to India. A great show and Ken, you are a top notch narrator, we were all totally mesmerized!

Peter still has many tickets for sale for the event sponsored by the Parksville AM Rotary Club, known as “The Taste of Oceanside”. This event is to be held at the Parksville Community and Conference Centre on April 19, tickets are $15.00 per person.

50/50 draw ticket was won by John, but, in his absence, Diana pulled out a green marble.

I am sure we would all like to wish sincere congratulations to Diana and Nigel Dundas
who are celebrating their eighth Wedding Anniversary today.

Lets hope that this time next week, when we get together again, the weather has warmed up considerably! ………….Kim
